International Student Enrollment Deposit

All international students must pay a $500 enrollment deposit to secure their admission following the issuance of their student visa. This deposit is due by July 1 for fall admission and December 1 for spring admission. This is not an additional fee but rather a pre-payment of part of your I-20 cost. Students should note this is non-refundable if you choose not to enroll, so please only pay the deposit once your visa has been issued and are ready to confirm your attendance to USD. If you have a visa interview date after these deadlines, please email isrt@usd.edu to request a payment extension.

Note: the deposit will be applied to your second semester billing statement, not your first. Only students who request and receive approval from the Gallagher International Center for an authorized early withdrawal to return to their home country will be eligible for a refund in the first term. Students who transfer or otherwise fail to enroll after the first term will not be eligible for a refund of this deposit.
